Finnish macaroni casserole

Finnish macaroni casserole (Finnish = makaronilaatikko /= macaroni box) is a typical everyday food. It’s very easy to make and it’s delicious. Here’s the instructions of how you can cook it yourself!

Ingredients

400 g minced meat

400 g macaroni

black pepper

salt

olive oil


Egg milk:

1 liter milk

2 eggs

salt

black pepper

grated cheese


Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 225 degrees.

2. Boil the macaroni.

3. Fry the minced meat in a pan with a small amount of olive oil.

4. Add salt and pepper.

5. Mix the milk and eggs in a bowl.

6. Put the boiled macaroni and minced meat in a big casserole tin.

7. Pour the egg milk over the mixture.

8. Sprinkle some grated cheese on top.

9. Put the tin in the oven for about 40 minutes.


Serve it with ketchup and fresh herbs!
