Breakfasts for busy students

They have said that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and actually it is. But it is so easy to forget to eat breakfast and it is often the meal that is the most overlooked. Usually students are busy, so they want to prepare food as fast as they can. Lack of time is the main reason why students skip the breakfast, which means that they might by something unhealthy on the way to the university or buy crisps from the vending machine. So, quick and easy breakfast for students are crucial and they get energy in the morning to study and could concentrate at the university. There are a lot of cheap and nutritious alternatives for different kind of breakfasts.


1. Hard boiled eggs


While you are getting ready, brushing your teeth and wearing your clothes, you could boil two eggs and there are ready in 6 to 7 minutes. You can boil extra eggs also for tomorrows breakfast at the same time, so you don’t need to do it again.


How to do it? Put the eggs in a pot, cover it with cold water. Place the pot on the stove and bring to a boil over a high heat. Let them boil for few minutes and then remove the pot from the stove.


2. Greek yoghurt, nuts (cashew, walnuts, almonds, hazelnuts), berries and honey


Could it get ready any quicker? Easy, quick and delicious breakfast. You can also add bananas or apple or other fruits if you feel like it. Also, dried berries and fruits are good alternatives.



3. Toast with cream cheese and avocado


Toast two bread(whole-grain), spread some cream cheese and put avocado on it. You can season the avocado with salt and pepper.


4. Oatmeal with berries or honey and cinnamon


Oatmeal is healthy and keeps you full if you add berries and seeds. You can also add honey and cinnamon to make it tastier.


So, you should add 1 cup of water, half cup of oats and add a little bit of salt and boil them in a small pot. Stir it occasionally for few minutes. Let it stand for a minute or two, and then it is ready!



5. Overnight oats


This is even more delicious and easier than oatmeal! You can prepare your breakfast easily before you go to sleep.


You only need oats, Greek or Turkish yoghurt, some sweetener (honey, maple syrup), add a little bit of water. You can also add berries, seeds, nuts or fruits. Super delicious and easy!


6. Eggs with bread/rice cakes


Fried eggs on bread or rice cakes keep you full for hours and you get protein. Just heat a little bit of oil on a pan, crack the eggs and cook it for about 2 minutes. Add some pepper and salt.


You can also fry eggs and eat it without bread or rice cakes. You can fry eggs with tomatoes and spinach; easy, healthy and high in iron.


7. Banana pancakes


If you want to treat yourself and still eat healthy, you should make banana pancakes. You need 2 bananas, 2 eggs, 2 spoons of oats and a little bit of cinnamon.


Mash bananas in a bowl, mix in eggs until it is well combines and then mix other ingredients. Then heat up a little pan add some olive oil or coconut oil and add a scoop of the pancake batter. Cook about 2 or 3 minutes per side.


Enjoy your pancakes with fruits, berries, nuts or whatever you like!
