Greek people love Christmas and they cook many dishes in order to celebrate them. First of all, some days before Christmas they prepare many dishes and of course the typical desserts, which they treat all their guests with during the holidays.

Kourabiedes are biscuits with big pieces of almonds and icing sugar, whereas Melomakarona are honey cookies served with smashed walnuts on the top.

Now when it comes to main dishes, a very common plate is pork with potatoes in the wood stove, which is usually cooked slowly from the previous night.

Lastly, when it comes to drinks, Greeks enjoy a nice glass of wine but also a lot of homemade alcohol, like liqueur made of orange or other fruits.
