IRNA – The Health Minsitry in Iran has published Iranian food pyramid.
Iranians are using a lot of oil, bread, rice, salt and sugar, because of this people have a lot of chronic diseases. But on the other hand, Iranians do not use that much of dairy products.
The Iranian food guide is a pyramid divided into seven groups: bread and cereals, fruits and vegetables, meats and eggs, milk and dairy products, miscellaneous, consisting of fats and sugar.
Food pyramid is a message to people to eat more healthy and more diverse. People should prefer more vegetables, fruits, fish, chicken and also eggs.
